Obituary for Larry Wayne Fox
Larry Fox, 77, of Laurel passed away peacefully on March 25, 2020 with his family by his side. He was born the oldest of five sons to Henry and Rose Fox on August 1, 1942. He graduated from Laurel High School in 1961.
On June 12, 1971 he married the love of his life Eileen Wilhelm; together they raised three children.
Larry farmed his entire life near Laurel. He found great joy having his kids and grandsons accompany him with activities on the farm. Larry was an avid bowler, he enjoyed golfing, family fishing trips, and more recently attending his grandkids’ sporting events and school activities.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Ron, Jon, and Randy. Larry is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years, Eileen, children Jasyn (Dana) Fox, Stacy (Susan) Fox, and Edie (Andy) Hanson; grandsons Wil, Luke, Jacob and Zachary; brother Terry (Dodie) Fox; sisters-in-law Laura Fox, Dolores Shandy, and Lauretta Anton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He’ll be remembered as a kind and gentle man, but mostly for his infectious smile. A memorial service is planned for August 1 at the Smith Laurel Chapel. Interment of the urn follows at Laurel City Cemetery. Condolences for the family may be shared at www.smithfuneralchapels.com.
