Obituary for June George

On March 8th our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend left us to rejoin her family in heaven.

June Elaine Gronseth was born Aug.8, 1931 in Britton, South Dakota to Alvin and Evalyn Gronseth.

At an early age the family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. After enjoying a fun and loving childhood, she graduated high school in 1949.

In 1970 the George family moved to Bridger, MT. Where she worked several years at the Furniture factory. June was very involved in her children’s sporting events which in turn really evolved when the 6 started their sports careers. She attended all, rarely missing any. The 2 greats will be cheered on from above! June’s grandchildren were her world. June was a foster grandparent with the Bridger school for 14 years and was known as “Gramma June” to many. This sometimes didn’t sit well with some of her own grand-kids, as they didn’t want to share her! After retiring from the program, she joined the Golden Age Society. June enjoyed good food, company, playing cards, and most importantly …. BINGO!

June was preceded in death by her parents, brother-Delmar, sister-in-law-Phyllis, and beloved grandson-Michael George.

Surviving her is son Mike (Diane) George of Bridger, MT, daughter Cheryl (Dave) Klessens of Columbus, MT. 5 grandchildren Gin (Kerry) Crawford of Lewistown, MT. Dustin George of North Dakota, Katie(Kenny)Pfeifer of Bridger, MT. Darcy Klessens of North Dakota, and Chris Klessens of Centennial CO. 2 great-granddaughters- Rylee and Blythe Armstrong of Lewistown, MT.

We will forever miss and love you! A special thank you to all the hospice team, Maggie and Michele.

Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at later date.

Memorials may be made to the Bridger Senior Citizen Building Fund.
