Obituary for Betty Ann Henderson

Betty Ann Henderson went to her mansion in heaven Saturday Feb 29, 2020. Betty’s life verse was John 14:1-2, “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.” She enjoyed sharing the love of Jesus with others.
Betty was the fourth of six daughters. She was born February 10, 1939, in Billings, Montana, to Peter & Eva Hinkle. She grew up on a dairy farm northeast of Billings.
On May 5, 1957 Betty married Fred “Hap” Henderson and later became the mother of three children, Steve, Linda, and Ralph. Betty and Hap were married for 28 years. She was widowed in 1985.
Betty led several Bible studies, was involved in Christian Women Club, loved quilting and was always ready to host family and friends. She loved spending time with her family which included eight grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She enjoyed playing piano at church, Salvation Army and for nursing homes.
After Hap’s death Betty worked at the Bible Book Store, Christian Missionary Alliance District office, and Ronald McDonald House. She volunteered with the Salvation for about 20 years. She supported many missions including Wycliffe Bible Translators, Gideon International and Salvation Army.
Betty was a very organized, caring and loving person. She was always doing something for others.
The family would like to thank all of Betty’s friends and family who called, brought food and flowers, picked up her mail, shoveled snow from her walks and driveway, took her to the hospital/doctor when needed, ran errands, sat and played games and just visited with her.
