Patsy Jane Orr Giesick passed away peacefully with family by her side on January 16th after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
Pat was born in Billings, Montana on March 12th, 1941. Pat grew up in Laurel, Montana and graduated from Laurel High School in 1959. Pat was married to Jeffrey John Giesick on August 1st, 1959. Pat and Jeff celebrated their 60 year Anniversary last August.
Pat and Jeff lived many places during their marriage. While Jeff was in the Army, they lived in Sierra Vista, Arizona (many of you have probably heard her story that if Jeff took her to Arizona, she would marry him), Rantoul, Illinois and Tooele, Utah. After Jeff's years in the service they lived in Salt Lake City, Utah; Billings, Montana; Boise, Idaho; Lynnwood, Washington where they raised their family and finally Mount Vernon, Washington.
Pat worked in real estate and bookkeeping for many years, but her main job was a housewife. Pat loved adventure and travel, especially the “Southwest”. Patsy loved horses and was a talented cook and artist, but her truest passion was her family. She was fierce, kind, witty and above all, loving. She will be deeply missed.
Pat is survived by her husband, Jeffrey John Giesick ; siblings, Norman {Ruth}, Kenneth {Jeanne} Orr and Carole Thompson; Children, Karrie Giesick, Tracy {Shari} Giesick, Alisa Schoon, Brad {Michele} Giesick, Kodi {Steve} McRae, Stephanie {Al} Aragon and Brandy{Paul}Gumke; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also, her Yorkshire Terrier, Lexi whom she got great joy from.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Chuck and Beatta Orr; sister, Charlene Vogel and son, Gregg Giesick.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to her husband Jeff, who lovingly cared for her for many years.
